Refosco “ dal Peduncolo Rosso” is so named because of the “peduncle” that holds the grape, which changes color, turning red in fact, just before the vintage.

Vinification and ageing

The grapes macerated for 8 - 12 days in vertical vinification tanks, to extract colors and polyphenolic substances. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for 6 months.


It has an intense ruby red color with typical violet and morel bouquet, the aroma is intense and persistent, tasting soft, perceptible tannin with pronounced aftertaste with hints of blackcurrant.

Food pairing

The fruitiness makes it ideal for drinking throughout a meal. It goes well with pasta or rice dishes, lamb, goat, venison and moderately aged cheeses.

Serving temperature

Serve at 16°C, a little cooler than usual for a red wine
